Card Tiers and Types Overview

Understanding Card Tiers and Types

Updated this week

Cards are key to enhancing your Chalkboard experience. They can boost payouts, offer free entries, protect against losses, and more. Each card comes with its own tier (rarity) and type (functionality). Here's how it all breaks down:

Card Tiers

Card tiers represent the rarity and value of a card. The higher the tier, the more powerful or exclusive the reward.

  • Common Card
Most frequently issued and least valuable. Still useful, but basic.

  • Rare Card
Less frequent and more valuable. Offers stronger perks or higher payout boosts.

  • Epic Card
The rarest and most valuable cards in the system. These deliver the biggest rewards.

Card Types

Each card type offers a unique function or benefit. Here's a breakdown of the different types of cards you may receive:

  • Deposit Match
Rewards bonus funds based on a percentage of your deposit amount.

  • Free Entry
Lets you place a free entry, on us, for a specific entry fee amount.

  • Player Boost
Increases the payout of any entry that includes a specific player.

  • Payout Boost
Increases the winning payout of any entry, regardless of players or stats.

  • Respawn
Refunds a losing entry (up to a certain amount) if used within 48 hours of the entry being graded.

  • Stat-Specific Boost
Boosts payouts for entries that include at least one pick in a certain stat category (e.g., Rebounds, Passing Yards).

  • League-Specific Boost
Boosts payouts for entries that only include picks from a specific league (e.g., NFL, NBA, MLB).

  • Turbos
Adds a player’s stats from a different, unrelated category to the one you're targeting — helping you hit higher selection counts.
