You can win your entry even if you miss one or two picks miss!
For an entry to be eligible for Shield Play, there must be three or more picks, and the picks must result in a minimum Shield Play multiplier of at least 1.75x. It is possible to have a number of picks with a Max Cash multiplier of at least 1.75x but a Shield Play multiplier that has not yet met the threshold. In that case, only Max Cash would be available.
For 3-pick and 4-pick Shield Play entries, there are payouts for all correct (3-of-3, 4-of-4) and for one loss outcomes (2-of-3, 3-of-4).
For 5-8 pick Shield Play entries, there are payouts for all correct, one loss outcomes, two loss and three loss outcomes.
The payouts for your specific combination are calculated based on the multipliers of the picks in your entry. Thus, payouts for one 4-pick entry will differ from the payouts for another 4-pick entry.
Voids and DNPs
If a player in your Shield Play entry is marked as Void or DNP, this will not count as a loss. That player will essentially be "removed" from your entry, and the entry will revert down a level, and remain a Shield Play entry with one less player.
For example, if a player in a 5-man Shield Play entry is marked as Void, the entry will turn into a 4-man Shield Play without the voided player. The payouts will be recalculated as if that the voided player were never included.
NOTE: The exception to this rule is in the case of a 3-man Shield Play. If a player is voided, it will turn into a Max Cash entry. Both remaining players will have to win in order for the entry to win. The payout will be recalculated as a 2-man Max Cash payout.
