Moneyball is a promo card that boosts a player's Points total by counting each 3-point basket as 4 points instead of 3. It is designed for sharpshooters and applies to a single leg in an entry at the time of entry creation.
Eligibility and How It Works
Moneyball is applied at entry creation on pre-game markets only.
Entry Requirements:
Requires at least 2 picks in the entry.
The entry must have exactly 1 leg with the Points stat.
Promo and Card Restrictions:
Only one Moneyball card is allowed per entry.
It cannot be combined with other promos on the same leg (Anchors, Boosts, Free Square, or other Promo Cards).
Same-Player Restriction: If Moneyball is applied to a player's Points leg, that same player's 3-Pointers Made stat cannot also appear as a separate pick in the entry. If this happens, the error message will state: "Cannot use both Points and 3-Pointers Made for the same player. Choose one stat per player".
Troubleshooting
If your Moneyball card is not applying, check the following common issues:
Pick Type: You selected an under pick (Moneyball is only available on over picks).
Number of Picks: Fewer than 2 picks are in the entry (add at least one more pick).
Alternative Market: Users are only able to use Moneyball cards on regular point lines, users cannot submit entries with Moneyball Cards on Alt-Lines.
Points Legs: More than one Points leg is in the entry (keep exactly 1 Points leg).
Existing Promo: The leg already has a promo applied (remove the existing promo, as promos cannot be stacked).
Player Stats: The same player's 3-Pointers Made stat is also in the entry (remove that pick or choose a different player).
Market Timing: The market is live or post-game (Moneyball is only available on pre-game markets).
How to use a Moneyball Promo Card on Chalkboard: Step-By-Step
From the Home Page, tap the Promos tab located at the bottom center of your screen or select View All from your Promos carousel at the top of the page.
In your Promo Card wallet, tap on the Moneyball Card to view details of the card, or click apply to add it to your entry. Note: You can also add the card to your slip directly on the Home Page under Promos.
Once the Moneyball card is in live in your entry, select your lineup!
3 Pointers recorded by your selected player(s) will count as an extra +1 towards their Total Points total.
Once your entry is submitted, you can see the promo attached in your Entries tab! For the entry below, the Moneyball promo is applied to Brown Total Points!
