Understanding the Verification Process

Updated over 2 months ago

Why am I being asked to submit a photo of my ID?

If your account is not automatically verified during sign-up, we require additional information to confirm your identity.

To complete the process, all you need is your smartphone and a government-issued ID. Simply follow the instructions provided in the app, and the verification process should take less than two minutes.

What happens after I submit my ID?

You will either be...

  1. Verified – You will receive a notification stating "Verification Successful" and will then be redirected to the deposit page to begin playing.

  2. Request for ID Resubmission – The most common reasons for resubmission are unclear images, poor lighting, or submission of an invalid ID, such as a library card or debit card.

  3. Under Review – A verification specialist will conduct a further review of your account information.

  4. Denied – If your verification is denied, you will unfortunately be unable to play on Chalkboard. Chalkboard reserves the right to deny verification at its sole discretion. To maintain the integrity of our application process, we are unable to provide specific reasons for denial to individuals.
